Emily Sparks
Emily Sparks is a skilled and passionate hair stylist with many years of experience in the industry. After graduating from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in 2016, Emily honed her craft by working at a large high-end salon for 5 years.
In 2021, Emily and her husband Russell Sparks decided to branch out on their own, establishing their own salon, Boho Blonde Chicago. As a salon owner, Emily has been able to fully realize her vision of creating a welcoming, inclusive space where clients can feel comfortable and confident.
She is a specialist in blonding techniques, providing her clients with a wide range of options for achieving their desired look.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and their pit mix rescue dog, Kylie.
Russell Sparks
Russell Sparks is the co-owner of Boho Blonde Chicago and a barber specializing in precision fades, clipper cuts, beard trims, and modern men’s grooming. He attended Denmark downtown where he learned all about short hair. He is constantly expanding his range and learning about non-barber specific techniques. Clients appreciate his patient approach and consistent, clean results. When he’s not at the salon, Russell is usually spending time with his wife, Emily, and their dog Kylie, exploring the city, or checking out new travel destinations.
Karlee Cluxton
Karlee is a hairstylist at Boho Blonde Chicago who is especially great at blonding and effortless, natural bronde.
Karlee grew up nearby in Naperville. In 2023 she attended Aveda institute here in Chicago; she now lives here with her dogs Lily and Ryder. When she’s not doing hair, she loves trying new foodie spots and takes trips to Michigan to spend time with her family.

Mynah Karasch
Mynah (mai-nuh) has been in the hair industry since 2022. Originally from Indiana, Mynah and her cat Melon moved to Chicago in 2024. She most recently was a stylist at another high end Lakeview East salon. Highlights, Haircuts, and voluminous blowouts are her specialties. She's really passionate about what she does and she always makes sure her clients receive the best possible experience!
